Job Description
INFINITY Eng is looking for a qualified and experienced NCO / GNO Gas Mainlayer to support our growing gas infrastructure operations. This role involves working away from home , delivering high-quality mainlaying services across various gas networks. We’re seeking candidates who are self-motivated, competent, and committed to delivering safe and compliant work to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out gas mainlaying and service installations in line with industry standards
Work to GIS and company specifications and procedures
Undertake live gas operations and use appropriate approved tools and techniques
Operate plant and equipment relevant to the role (e.g. fusion welding, gas detection, pipe cutting)
Read and interpret site plans, drawings, and utility service drawings
Record work accurately, including materials and reinstatement requirements
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
Supervise operatives or apprentices where required
Requirements:
NCO1 and/or NCO2 or GNO Mainlaying qualification (essential)
SHEA Gas and EUSR registration (essential)
Deep understanding of gas network operations, safety, and reinstatement protocols
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Street Works / NRSWA accreditation (preferred)
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all conditions
Positive attitude, team player, and safety-focused
What We Offer
Salary: £41,000 per year
Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus
